Certain low powered 2 wheeled vehicles do not require a license to operate. More powerful scooters/motorcycles and all automobiles require a proper home license for the vehicle operated and an IDP issued under the 1968 Convention on Road Traffic
Nationals that have a problem as their licenses are not valid in Vietnam
- Australia
- Canada
- New Zealand
- The United States
And many other countries that issue IDP’s under the 1949 Convention on Road Traffic.
